Violence against woman is on the increase

A recent research has shown that Tunisian divorcee, whose age range from 40 to 49, are vulnerable to physical, psychological, sexual and verbal abuses. Economic abuses, which have dramatically increased after the Revolution (January 14th, 2011) resulted in women’s unfair dismissal from their jobs. New shapes of violence, that are infused with strange and extreme ideas, have emerged even at the level of the freedom of the individual. Accordingly, they have struck at the heart of the basic human rights. In fact, figures are so alarming that women, associations, organizations and civil society have to take immediate actions to stop all kinds of abuses against woman.
